防火卷帘门同防火墙的作用一样起到水平防火分隔，它由帘板、座板、导轨、支座、卷轴、箱体、控制箱、卷门机、限位器，门楣、手动速放开关装置、按钮开关和保险装置等13个部分组成，一般安装在不便采用防火墙分隔的部位。如：敞开电梯厅、自动扶梯、百货大楼的宽大营业厅、展览楼的展览厅和建筑物中洞口较大不能用防火门窗的部位。防火卷帘门在建筑工程中，使防火分隔得到了广大的应用。防火卷帘门的安装技术要求：

1、帘板、导轨、门楣、卷轴等部件的表面不允许有裂纹、压坑及较明显的凹凸、锤痕、毛刺、孔洞等缺陷

2、焊接应牢固，外观平整，不允许有夹渣、漏焊，透焊等现象。

3、零部件的外露表面必须做防腐处理，其涂层、镀层应均匀。

4、卷帘启闭、运行的平均噪声应符合要求。 伸缩缝顾名思义就是预留的供基础变形、温度引起的膨胀收缩、沉降等等原因结构变化的缝隙。防火门安装在变形缝上，一旦上述原因使伸缩缝结构变化，将会使防火门受到挤压、拉伸，扭曲变形无法正常应用。
